At Staffers, accepting a shift means committing to work the agreed hours. The business relies on you to arrive on time and be ready to work.
We understand that unexpected situations can happen. However, late cancellations and no-shows can leave a business short-staffed and disrupt its daily operations.
Please read the following guidelines carefully to understand the cancellation process and how late cancellations may affect your Staffers account.
If you cannot attend a confirmed shift, you must notify the business as soon as possible and submit a cancellation request through the Staffers App.
How to cancel a shift:
Open the Staffers App.
Go to My Jobs.
Select the confirmed shift you cannot attend.
Scroll down and tap Cancel shift.
Write a short, polite message explaining your reason.
Tap Send request.
The full Cancellation Policy is here: Canβt Work a Shift? / Staffers Cancellation Policy
β Your employer must accept your cancellation request. Until you receive confirmation that it has been accepted, your shift remains confirmed.
If your shift is approaching, contact Staffers Support as well for guidance on the next steps.
Staffers applies a strike policy based on how much time remains before your shift starts.
β More than 48 hours before the shift: No strike.
β Between 6 and 48 hours before the shift: 1 strike.
π¨ Less than 6 hours before the shift: 2 strikes.
Repeated cancellations may affect your account status. Your account may be blocked when you accumulate 3 strikes.
π‘ Tip: If you know you cannot attend, submit your cancellation request as early as possible. Giving the business more notice allows it to look for a replacement.
A no-show occurs when you fail to attend a confirmed shift without properly cancelling or notifying the business.
No-shows are taken seriously because the business is relying on you to fulfil your commitment.
π¨ If you fail to show up for a confirmed shift, your Staffers account may be blocked immediately, in accordance with Staffers' policy.
If an emergency or unexpected situation prevents you from attending, contact the business and Staffers Support as soon as possible. Your circumstances may be reviewed, but contacting Support does not automatically guarantee that an account restriction will be removed.
If the employer rejects your cancellation request, your shift remains confirmed.
Submitting a cancellation request does not mean you are automatically released from your commitment.
π© If you cannot attend, contact Staffers Support immediately and explain your situation. We can help clarify the next steps, but you should not assume the shift has been cancelled unless you receive confirmation.
We understand that sudden illness, emergencies, and other unexpected circumstances can happen.
If something prevents you from attending your shift:
π Notify the business as soon as possible.
π± Submit a cancellation request through the app.
π¬ Contact Staffers Support if your shift is approaching or you need assistance.
π Explain your situation clearly and provide relevant information if requested.
If you already know you cannot attend, do not wait until the shift has started to inform the business or Support.
Each case will be reviewed according to the applicable policy and the information available. An emergency does not automatically guarantee that a strike or account restriction will be removed.
If you believe a strike or account restriction was applied incorrectly, you can request a review by contacting Staffers Support.
Please include:
π The date of the shift.
π’ The business name.
π¬ A clear explanation of what happened.
π Any relevant supporting information.
β³ Appeals must be submitted within 5 days.
Submitting an appeal does not automatically remove a strike or unblock your account. The outcome depends on the review of your case.
Before accepting a shift, make sure that:
π You are available for the entire shift.
π You have checked the date, working hours, and location.
π You understand the job requirements and uniform instructions.
π You have planned your transportation and arrival time.
π± You can contact the business or Staffers Support if an unexpected situation arises.
Accepting a shift means committing to attend and work the agreed hours. If you cannot attend, communicate as early as possible and follow the correct cancellation procedure.
Thank you for helping us maintain a reliable and professional Staffers community! π§‘π
